"Be receptive to the grace of God."
Sri Dharma Mittra
***Last online class will be Saturday May 8th, 2021***
To begin, I wanted to thank each and every one of you for journeying with me for so many years, and especially for this past year when all classes were moved online. Your spiritual friendship and presence has been, and will continue to be, a profound source of gratitude and joy in my life. I am writing you today to let you know that beginning May 8th, I will be stepping back from teaching. For the past three years I have been working on completing my Masters in Social Work and will be graduating next week (5/5). For the last year, I have been interning at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, and have had the great privilege of working with veterans in the PTSD clinic. In a way that has surprised me, I found that I deeply enjoyed this trauma work and have been grateful for the opportunity to serve in this new capacity as a clinical social worker. In order to follow this emerging vocation, and without unknowing exactly where it is leading, I need to (to use the words of Roberto Assagioli) "leave a little room for the Mystery."
My hope is to have a kind of Hamsa Yoga reunion at some point in the coming months, and to find new ways of sharing my love of Yoga. However, for the time being I am being called to pause - a pause that is filled with a deep gratitude for all that has been, and with a heartfelt "Yes" to all that is coming, In the meantime, please stay in touch. And may the grace that expressed itself through "Hamsa Yoga" continue to find a home in our hearts - animating our life, inspiring our service, and deepening our experience of the Love that is who we are.
with a gratitude too deep for words,
"Only go where there is love."
